The PyroVault 2.0 is a dual-wall, dual-color exoskeleton that offers tough, battlefield-grade protection and a better grip for a variety of lighter inserts. It is compatible with Zippo Single and Double Torch, Yellow Flame, Classic, Pipe, and Electric Rechargeable Inserts, as well as the Z-Plus Butane Extreme Torch 2.0, Thunderbird Single Torch Flame and Vector, Blazer Top-Z Dual Torch, and Power Practical Sparkr Insert. However, it is not compatible with butane or non-torch inserts with a spring-loaded cam to open the fuel valve.
The PyroVault features a stainless torsion spring and axle for reliable one-handed opening, and the low-profile latch leaves space for easy striker-wheel access for inserts that use a striker wheel. It also boasts a full gasket seal to keep fuel in while keeping water, dust, and dirt out, preventing evaporation of precious fuel and increasing the reliability of the lighter insert. While the PyroVault is waterproof, it is not dive-rated and is not suitable for prolonged, deep submersion.
Each PyroVault 2.0 Lighter Armor comes with a genuine Tinder-Quik Firestarter that can be stored inside and below the insert, making it a valuable tool in survival, camping, hunting, and hiking situations when dry tinder might be hard to find. Additionally, the full-size lanyard hole allows users to improve retention in the field by attaching their own lanyard, enabling them to permanently attach the lighter to their backpack, belt loop, or other gear while still having the flexibility to quickly access it when needed.
As with all Thyrm products, the PyroVault 2.0 is designed and made in the USA, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
